PESD5V0S2BT

The PESD5V0S2BT is a low-capacitance bidirectional double ESD protection diode designed to protect two data lines against damage caused by electrostatic discharge and other transient events.

The device is housed in a small SOT23 (TO-236AB) surface-mount package.

Practical Repair Note

The PESD5V0S2BT is intended to be placed close to external connectors and communication interfaces.

After an ESD event, the protection device may fail short-circuit and pull one of the protected signal lines down.

Because the device is bidirectional, its behavior in a simple multimeter diode test should not be interpreted in the same way as that of a conventional single-direction diode.
