General Description:
The MIC5205 is a high-efficiency linear voltage regulator with ultra-low output noise, low dropout voltage (typically 17 mV at light load and 165 mV at 150 mA), and low ground current (600 µA at 100 mA load). It delivers better than ±1% output voltage accuracy at initial setup.
Optimized for battery-powered portable systems, the MIC5205 includes a logic-compatible enable/shutdown input. When disabled, power consumption drops nearly to zero. Even in dropout conditions, ground current rises only slightly, helping extend battery life.
Additional features include a noise-reduction bypass pin, reverse battery protection, current limit, and thermal shutdown.
Available in fixed and adjustable versions in a tiny SOT-23-5 package.
For ceramic-capacitor-stable alternatives, see the μCap MIC5245/6/7 family.
